Slurp Station Aburasoba (“we,” “us”) runs slurpstation.com, the website for our aburasoba restaurant at 4701 Brooklyn Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105. This page explains, in plain language, what information this website handles and why. Short version: no accounts, no forms, no newsletter, and we don’t sell your personal information.
What this website collects
- Standard technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the visit so pages can be delivered and protected from abuse.
- Ad measurement events. We use OpenAI’s advertising Measurement Pixel and Conversions API to understand whether our ads bring people to the site. When a page loads, and when you click a “Get Directions”/map link or an “Order” button, an event is sent to OpenAI that includes the page address (our server-side events strip query strings), the event type, a random event ID, and your IP address and browser user-agent. OpenAI’s pixel script, loaded from OpenAI’s servers, may also use cookies or similar identifiers under OpenAI’s privacy policy.
- Your light/dark theme choice. If you use the theme toggle, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (key
slurp-theme). It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not ask for your name, email, or payment details on this website.
Third-party services on our pages
- Google Fonts — our typefaces load from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Maps — the embedded map on our home and contact pages is served by Google and may set cookies.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and processes requests, and may set strictly necessary security cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- OpenAI — ad measurement, as described above.
Ordering, gift cards, and other links
Online ordering (pickup and delivery at slurpstation.com/s/order) and gift card purchases are processed by Square. When you place an order or buy a gift card, you provide your name, contact, payment, and order details to Square, and Square’s Privacy Notice applies to that information. We receive the order information needed to make your food or fulfill your gift card. Links to Instagram, Google Maps, Yelp, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
How we use information
To run and secure the website, to measure whether our advertising works, and to fill orders placed through Square. We do not sell personal information for money. Sending ad-measurement events (including IP address) to OpenAI may count as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under California and other state laws. You can opt out as described below.
Your choices and rights
- Opt out of ad measurement: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, this site does not load OpenAI’s pixel or send ad-measurement events to OpenAI. You can also ask us to opt you out by email ([email protected]), phone, or Instagram.
- Block tracking: browser settings, tracker blockers, and private browsing can block cookies and third-party scripts. The site works without them.
- Clear your theme setting: clear this site’s data in your browser.
- Washington, California, and other residents: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing, or use for targeted advertising. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. Most data from this website is held by the providers listed above, not by us, but we will help with any request. To make a request, email us at [email protected], call us, or message us on Instagram. We may need to confirm your request and will respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, you can appeal by contacting us again with “appeal” in your message.
Children
This website is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of anyone under 16.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Third-party providers keep data according to their own policies. No website is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.
